Apple Silicon as AI Platform
We deliberately use Apple Macs with M-Chip. The Unified Memory Architecture (UMA) makes them an efficient platform for local AI inference and fine-tuning – without cloud dependency. Thunderbolt-5 connections between multiple Macs open up new possibilities for powerful local clusters.
FPGAs for Local AI Inference
We are systematically investigating whether and where FPGAs offer advantages over Apple Silicon – efficiency, deterministic behaviour, energy consumption. Still theoretical, but a question we take seriously.
